3. How the extension works

ForgottenTabs reads your Chrome bookmarks and compares them to the URL and title of the currently active tab. This comparison happens entirely within your browser using Chrome's built-in extension APIs. No data leaves your device as part of this process.

The extension uses the following Chrome permissions:

• bookmarks — to read your saved bookmarks for local matching
• tabs — to detect the URL of the currently active tab
• notifications — to show optional Chrome notifications (if enabled)
• storage — to save your notification preferences locally

4. Pro license and payments

If you purchase the Pro version, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment details. The only information we receive is a confirmation that a valid license has been activated. We may store your email address solely to deliver the license key and provide support.

5. Third-party services

This website (forgottentabs.com) may use Hostinger's standard web hosting infrastructure. No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts are loaded on this site or within the extension.

6. Children's privacy

ForgottenTabs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
